“Allah said, all the deeds of Adam’s sons (people) are for them, except Saum (Fasting), which is for Me, and I will give the reward for it.” (Saheeh Al Bukhari Vol.3 Hadith 1904)

Let’s Welcome Ramadan- Course Description
Ramadan is the month when the Holy Quran was revealed to mankind. Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) used to fast in the last days of Shaban to prepare for Ramadan. Moreover, the Holy Prophet (PBU..H) used to tell people about the coming of Ramadan like pleasant news. He often told people that Ramadan is near, so they should be happy. In a Hadith, the messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
“When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained up.” (Sunan An Nasaai’ Vol.3 Hadith 2106)
This shows us that we should be eager to witness Ramadan and accumulate blessings from it as Muslims.
As Muslims, when Ramadan comes, we should offer our gratitude to the Almighty as He bestowed another holy month on us. We have to thank Allah for being merciful to us. We should also repent of our sins while welcoming Ramadan.

The welcome Ramadan activities should also include making a resolution to improve as a Muslim during Ramadan. We should welcome Ramadan with an urge to become a better Muslim. We should try to remember our Lord as much as possible during Ramadan.
We should make up our minds to fast on every day of Ramadan to gain maximum blessings and good deeds. We should seek His mercy and look for forgiveness of our sins during this blessed month of Ramadan. The welcome Ramadan activities are not only limited to fasting. Holy Prophet (PBUH) says:
“Anyone who does not leave the false action and false speech, Allah (SWT) does not care if he leaves his eating and drinking.” (Sahih Bukhari Vol.3 Hadith 1903)

As our beloved Prophet (PBUH) said:
“O people, the blessed month of Ramadan is approaching, and Allah has ordained for you that you fast in this month and the gates of heaven will be opened in this month and the gates of hell will be closed and the devils, they will be chained, In this month is the night which is better than a thousand months and if a person is deprived of the blessings in this month is truly a deprived person.” (Sunan An Nasaai Ch.5 Hadith 2106)
